Archbold’s ConAgra Plant Expanding

Archbold’s ConAgra Foods plant is looking to add 100 new jobs as part of an upcoming expansion. The expansion is made possible in part by a restructuring for the Nebraska-based company which recently announced that they will close the doors of their Trenton, Missouri plant this summer. 395 jobs will be lost as a result of that closure but some of that production will make its way over to the Archbold plant, which is more modern and which has more production capability than does the Trenton plant. A statement given from the Fulton County Economic Development Corporation confirming the expansion, which is slated to take place between summer 2017 and summer 2018 read: “ConAgra Foods is one of the largest employers in the county and an important industry in the Village of Archbold. The FCEDC is pleased that the company chose the Archbold plant for this expansion project, which will add more than 100 jobs in the plant. This expansion is possible because the Archbold facility hosts a productive workforce that is recognized in the company for their hard work and quality. We congratulate all involved in this project and the employees at (the) ConAgra plant in Archbold.”
