The Wauseon Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed the Four County Career Center Career Based Intervention facility to the area Nov. 3 with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Chamber board members, officials and center representatives came out for the ceremony. The CBI has 14 high school seniors in the program, most of whom are at risk for graduation, either through credit deficiency or lack of a job, CBI Coordinator Kim Kimnsman said. Bradley Gillespie, 43, of Defiance heard his sentencing for his part in the murders of former Montpelier graduate Hannah Fischer and her boyfriend, Frank Tracey Jr., in a Paulding County courtroom on Monday, October 31, 2016. The bodies of Fischer and Tracey were both found, several days and several miles apart, in February, 2016. The investigation quickly led authorities to Gillespie, who has maintained his innocence since his arrest. A grand jury did not agree, and he was convicted on two counts of murder. Harold R. Rhoads, age 87, of Delta, peacefully passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Swanton Valley Center. He was born January 22, 1929 to the late Harvey Rhoads and Jessie (Patton) Rhoads. Harold spent two years in the Coast Guard and three years in the Army where he served in Korea. After returning home, Harold became a Christian and his life changed.
