COLUMBUS – In an unusual Saturday game, the Montpelier Locomotives made the long trip to Columbus to take on 6-1 Bishop Ready on October 13. Ready was more than ready for the Locos, and their offense that came into the game averaging over 42 points per contest lit up the Montpelier defense for a 45-0 victory. Council members approved the first reading of an ordinance to allow village manager, Pam Lucas to execute a power purchase agreement with Solar Planet, LLC of Columbus, Ohio. PARTNERSHIP … Four County Career Center has recently joined in a partnership with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) in a “Bridge Program.” This program allows students who are on target for graduation and who have good attendance and grades the opportunity to work for an employer starting during the summer months and continuing that employment throughout the school year, and earn class credit towards graduation in the process. Chief Deputy Roy E. Miller announced Tuesday, October 9, 2012, that the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded a High Visibility Enforcement Grant from the Office of Criminal Justice Services which is a division of the Ohio Department of Public Safety. The Sheriff’s Department was awarded $30,942.74 which will pay for deputy’s salaries during the enforcement periods.
