Betty-Irene-Sauder-WEBBetty Irene Sauder, 65 of Archbold, Ohio went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday October 1, 2015 in her home with her family around her.

Betty was born on August 25, 1950 in Williams County Ohio, the daughter of the late Lewis “Jack” and Viola Huffman.  On September 27, 1968 she married Lee E. Sauder and they resided in Archbold where they raised their family. She is survived by her husband Lee Sauder and children Amy (Terrance) Crowe, Aron (Annette) Sauder, Andrew (Amy) Sauder and grandchildren; Terrance Jr., Jaelyn, Tavian, Tarius Crowe, Brittney and Lexi Sauder, Amya Coulon, Quinn, Liby, and Zoey Sauder and great-grandchild; Jayden Crowe.

Amma (the name given to her by Terrance Jr her oldest grandson) was loved by not only her family and grandchildren but by anyone that she came in contact with. She possessed a genuine love for Christ and portrayed that through her caring and accepting love for all. Her years of service started as she supported this community and her husband as a member of the Archbold Fire maids. After her children were older she entered the workforce and followed her love of antiques by working at the Primitive Pig in downtown Archbold which then became the Field of Memories Antique Mall where she managed the daily business.  As everyone knows, Betty’s big passion was her love for Christ and any ministry that she could influence people and lead them to Christ.  She was a member of the Archbold Evangelical Church where she was involved in too many activities to list. Betty loved the children, Connection club, VBS, and Miracle Camp to name a few of her favorites.  She also enjoyed ministering to other women of all ages through Bible studies, small groups, and MOPS.

Visitation for Betty will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 4, 2015 in the Atrium at the Archbold Evangelical Church, where a Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday. Interment will be in the Archbold Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to the Betty Sauder Miracle Camp Scholarship Fund. Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com
