My husband would write a note in pen, sometimes short or long, to our son before he left for the day, he knew he wouldn’t see him for days to come.

The letter was full of motivation and love and guidance to empower him for the days ahead. A handwritten note requires so little, yet this thoughtful approach is significant for both writer and receiver.

Modern technology enables us to stay in touch with those near and far, a convenience of the digital age that clearly has its benefits.

But for times when you want to share more than can be conveyed in a quick text or email, consider a more thoughtful form of communication: a handwritten letter.

Writing and posting a letter may seem like a sluggish, old-fashioned process in our fast-paced culture, but often the things it slows us down and prompts us to consider our most significant thoughts and feelings are the most worthwhile.

Through handwritten letters, we learn about our world and how it has evolved. Letters from previous generations teach us about family members we may know only from photographs.

The pages review our heritage and history and how those who experienced it made sense of it all. These handwritten testaments are worthy worth remembering, and we believe this practice of chronicling life is worth repeating today.

Setting aside time to write a letter to loved ones is tangible way to show them that you care; however, this thoughtful act is just as beneficial to the writer.

Often, what we scribble leads us to discover what lies in the recesses of our heart and mind. And after getting it down on paper, were left feeling more grounded–frequently more gratified.

When it comes to the art of letter writing, creativity and sincerity are fundamental, and with those elements, there really are no limits. Letters written in red show much love and are very empowering to the writer.

Spread the love. Show your love to friends and family with these gestures that can be enjoyed every day of the year. Pull out paper and pen and write a letter to a loved one, a friend, even a neighbor.

My deepest and greatest wish for all of us is to awaken our highest self within. That is where the true power lies.

My greatest hopes and prayers are that we can all share and encourage each other to live a happier, healthier, vibrant life.
