Dorothy “Dottie” Rondina (1925-2019)

Dorothy H. “Dottie” Rondina, 93 of Montpelier passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Hillside Country Living in rural Bryan. She was born on May 23, 1925 in Baxter, Kentucky to Eugene and Edith (Ward) Howard.

Dorothy retired in 1990 after 39 years working as a travel counselor and manager for Aloha World Travel. She was member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Montpelier.

She is survived by a daughter Mavis Sellers of Montpelier; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one brother Roger (Deborah) Burke of Wallins, Kentucky; two sisters Wilma (William) Winters of Ypsilanti, Michigan and Mallie (Hayes) Silvey of Warrenville, Illinois and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Mario J. “Joe” Rondina, an infant son Maurice Saylor, a daughter Carolyn Weidner, a sister June Seidel and a brother Truman Howard.


A private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CHP Hospice.
