Year-round, first responders’ brave challenges so the rest of us may stay safe. In honor of their hard work and dedication, on September 11, Patriot Day and the National Day of Service & Remembrance, we honor and celebrate these heroes for selflessly protecting and serving our communities. Edgerton will be hosting a free family friendly event for Edgerton’s Food Truck Monday.

“On Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance, we honor every life that was taken too soon.”

“We honor the first responders—firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency workers, and service members—who answered the call of duty, and the brave civilians who rushed into action to save lives that day.”

“Their courage embodies the American spirit and resilience, and their heroism continues to inspire new generations of Americans.”

Events of the evening: Edgerton Food Truck Monday will be hosting two food trucks, Rolling Fire Pizza and Jack’s Rolling Food Shack.

Each truck will be offering food specials to active first responders—firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency workers, and service members. Must show ID or be in uniform.

The trucks will be setup from 3p-7p. Rolling Fire Pizza is offering 50% off pizza for local first responders and Jack’s Rolling Food Shack is offering $3 off menu items for local first responders.

Music: Local Williams County favorite, John Reichle will be joining us on the bandstand and will be delivering the best of the best music from 5p-7p.

The bedroom has on display everyday items that could be concealed and “hidden in plain sight”.

Edgerton Fire Department, Edgerton Police Department and Williams County EMS will have emergency vehicles available for a “Touch a Truck” for the kids.

A moment of silence and prayer for first responders by Mayor Day at 7pm. Edgerton Police Chief, Ken Jacob, will be giving a K9 demonstration with K9 Ruin at 6pm.

The event is open to the community, and anyone is free to join at 108 E Indiana Street Edgerton, Ohio 43517. Don’t forget to invite your friends, relatives, family, and other loved ones.
