Elwin “Joe” MillerElwin “Joe” Miller, age 83, of Archbold, passed away Thursday morning, February 18, 2016, in his home, surrounded by his family. Prior to his retirement he had been a truck driver for Miller Brothers in Archbold for over 49 years.

Joe was born in Kalona, Iowa on March 9, 1932, the son of Joseph L. and Gertrude (Marner) Miller. On July 2, 1955 he married Diana Hitt, and she survives. He was a member of the Archbold Evangelical Church. Joe was an ardent supporter of Transport for Christ and he loved playing cards.

Surviving besides his wife, Diana, are four daughters, Denise Miller of Archbold, Debra Miller of Archbold, Darla (Steve) Childs of Roswell, GA, Dana (Roel) Galvan of Archbold, grandchildren, Joshua Ballmer, Lacey Elzinga, Colton Hulshof, Tyler Wyse, Dylan Wyse, Alexa Childs, Courtney Childs, Cassidy Childs, Hailey Blood, Hayden Galvan, Holden Galvan, Hadley Galvan, and great-grandson, Daxton.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Transport for Christ or Archbold Evangelical Church. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with arrangements.
