BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL
Archbold 71, Delta 56 – The Bluestreaks (10-5, 5-0) turned on their offense in the second half after falling behind at the break 25-22. Led by Eli Miller, the Streaks exploded for 30 third quarter points. Miller was the game’s high scorer with 22 points followed closely by Delta’s Noah Parsons who finished with 19. Three Archbold players finished with 10 points including Bryce Wiliams. Austin Welch and Michael Weigand. Evan Vasquez added 16 for the Panthers (4-10, 0-5).
Wauseon 67, Patrick Henry 30 – (No game stats received)
Montpelier 76, Liberty Center 73 – Brooks Hinton and Blake Graber had 24 and 23 points respectively for the Tigers (6-8, 3-2) but it was not enough as the Locomotives escaped with the win. Montpelier (9-6, 3-3) had four players in double figures including Michael Blake and Kolden Uribes with 19 apiece, and Kyrin Schuman and Dalton Surbey with 16 each. Zack Carpenter added 16 for Liberty Center.
Bryan 60. Evergreen 44 – The Golden Bears (8-9, 4-2) were paced by Dylan Lehmann, Jaden Valderas and Deylen Miley who finished with 13, 12 and 10 points respectively. Chandler Lumbrezer was the games leading scorer for Evergreen (6-10, 1-4) with 21 points.
Edgerton 40, Antwerp 38 – (No game stats received)
Edon 67, Stryker 58 – The two BBC teams combined for a 50-point fourth quarter. With the score at 42-33 in favor of the Bombers (3-13, 2-5) at the end of three quarters, the Panthers (2-14, 2-5) made a gallient effort to overtake the Bombers by throwing down 25 points over the last eight minutes. But Edon matched basket for basket to hold on to their lead. Edon’s Braden Miller was the game’s high scorer with 22 points. Jim Peckham and Preston
Klingler finished with 13 and 10 points for the winners. Hayden Clingaman led Stryker with 16 while Luke Holsopple added 13 points.
Hilltop 76, Pettisville 56 – The Cadets’ Tim Maneval erupted for 35 points to guide Hilltop (11-6, 6-1) over Pettisville (5-11, 4-3) in a BBC clash. Hilltop held onto their 20-point margin they had gained in the first half as the Blackbirds matched Hilltop’s second half scoring output of 30 points. Also finishing in double figures for the Cadets was Quinn Smith with 18 points. The Blackbirds were led by Gabe Beck’s 23 points and Dillon King’s 11.
Fayette 53, North Central 20 – North Central (1-15, 0-7) had a hard time mustering any offense as Fayette (15-0, 7-0) continued their winning ways. North Central, after scoring 13 first-half points, was shut out of the scoring column in the third quarter while Fayette scored 16 points. Leading the way for Fayette were a trio of players as Tristen Bates and Jerad Seiler mirrored each other’s performance with 15 points and Joel Smith added 12. Josh Roesener led North Central with six points.
BOYS J.V. BASKETBALL
Stryker 43, Edon 33 – After taking a 25-12 halftime lead, Edon could manage just eight second-half points. The Panthers were led by Logan Boetz’s 14 points. Edon had two players in double figures as Travis Siebenaler and Brayden Bauer finished with 12 and 11 points respectively.
Pettisville 39, Hilltop 30 – Brayden Hernandez led the Blackbirds with 10 and Sam Shlling paced the Cadets with seven points.
Liberty Center 39, Montpelier 28 – (No game stats received)
Fayette 48, North Central 36 – Fayette got 20 points from Travis Wagner and 13 from Clyaton Phels. Wagner was three of four beyond the arc. Matching Wagner’s three point shooting effort was North Central’s Keean Livensparger who led North Central with 16 points.
