Florence Township Fire Department Replaces Grass Truck

FTFD New Truck - Mar2013 - LHF(1) WEBNEW GRASS TRUCK … Florence Township Fire Department took delivery of a new grass truck this past February replacing a 1993 truck that was 20 years old and due for replacement in the truck rotation. Its chassis was bought by the Township Trustees through the State Purchasing Program and they purchased the pump and tank for the unit as well; the bed and fabrication of the truck was funded through the Business Association and from various Department fundraisers done during the year. Subscriptions cover our costs to attend local events; bringing forth Hometown News Coverage to our communities.”] Additional donations from Montpelier Eagles Aerie 2246, Rebecca Keller, Trailer Tires and Wheels (tires and rims for the truck) and Florence Township Firebelles (truck’s radio intercom system) helped complete the truck, built by 1st Attack Engineering of Auburn, Indiana. Florence Township Fire Department volunteers, Florence Township Fire Department Firebelles, Florence Township Trustees and donors shown with the new acquisition during a recent unveiling included ~ Pete Muehlfeld, Allyn Luce, Dan Ankney (back from left); Odie Mearse, Jeff Kaiser, Rian Whitney, Chief Jay Klingler, Corey Oberlin, Monica Klingler, future firefighter Braxtyn Klingler, Joe Thiel, Crysthia Green, Ron Green, Jo Luce, Allen Muehlfeld (Trustee), Cathy Schuller, Bert Brown (Trustee), Garry Oberlin (Township Fiscal Officer), Scott Longanbach (Trustee), Reed McMillen (Montpelier Eagles) and Sam Longanbach (Trailer Tires and Wheels).
