GIRLS SOCCER

Bryan 1 Archbold 0

ARCHBOLD – Macy Burton scored with six seconds left in the first half and the Golden Bears defense locked down Archbold in the second half for the win, clinching their second straight NWOAL title.

Calysta Wasson led the Bryan defensive effort by turning away eight shots in goal.

CONTINENTAL – The Pirates outshot Wauseon 15-4 and Braxton Stegbauer scored the game-winning goal in the second half of a 2-1 win.

Braden Vajen scored the lone goal for the Indians while goalie Brody Balser stopped nine shots.

TOLEDO – The Panthers scored late on a penalty kick to earn a 3-3 draw with Hawks.

BRYAN – Bryan raced out to a 3-0 lead and then had to hold off a Pettisville rally in the second half to get the 4-3 win.

Dylan Koenig registered two goals and an assist for Bryan while Carlos Bowers score twice for Pettisville.

North Central’s Kaytee Tomblin recorded six blocks to give her the school record for blocks in a season at 89.

HOLGATE – The Blackbirds finished the BBC in second place at 6-1 after the four-set win at Holgate.
