Joan Stuckey, age 89 years, of Fayette, passed away Saturday morning, February 18, 2017, at Fairlawn Haven Care Center in Archbold. She was born April 22, 1927, at Stryker, the daughter of Ira and Florence (Stutzman) Graber. She married Melvin Stuckey on December 19, 1948, and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2006.
A resident of the Fayette area since 1959, she was a homemaker and volunteered at Care & Share. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of the Lockport Mennonite Church, rural Stryker.
She is survived by four children, Debra (Jim) Taddeo of Alliance, Randy (Karen) Stuckey of West Unity, Greg (Susan) Stuckey and Arnie (Sally) Stuckey both of Fayette; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley King, and a sister-in-law, Jean Graber both of Archbold.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Milo “Mike” Graber and Ellis “Bud” Graber; and a sister, Wanda Graber.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 AM at the Fairlawn Chapel with Pastors David Elkins and Bill Holsopple officiating. Interment will precede in the Lockport Cemetery. Friend may call at the Fairlawn Chapel from 5-7 PM on Tuesday.
