Juan Alfaro (1928-2019)

Juan T. Alfaro, age 91, of Delta, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at Indian Meadows Nursing Home in Wauseon. He was born in San Antonio, TX, on March 28, 1928, to the late Jose and Juanita (Teniente) Alfaro. After leaving high school, Juan joined the United States Air Force, and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Wauseon American Legion Post 265 and St. Caspar Catholic Church. 

Left to cherish Juan’s memory are sisters, Bertha Torok and Connie Alfaro; brother, Manuel Alfaro; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Mary Jimenez and Tomasa Alfaro. 

According to the wishes of the family, cremation has taken place. A graveside service and inurnment will take place on Friday, September 13, 2019, at 3:00 PM, at St. Caspar Catholic Cemetery in Wauseon with Fr. Stan Tabor to officiate. 

Those wishing a memorial contribution in Juan’s memory are asked to consider St. Caspar Catholic Church or Heartland Hospice.  Online condolences to the family may be offered at www.GrisierFH.com.  The Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon is honored with Juan’s care and arrangements.
