Linda Sue Dowlin, age 65, of Archbold, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Fulton County Health Center. She was born on November 16, 1959 to Richard “Red” and JoAnn (Parker) Dowlin in Wauseon, Ohio.
Linda was a 1978 graduate of Wauseon High School. Linda then graduated from Indiana Central University, obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Most recently she worked at Fulton County Health Center as an RN. Linda was known as a strong patient advocate and old-style nurse.
When she wasn’t working, Linda was a huge Indianapolis Colts fan, an avid reader and loved visiting Mackinaw Island with her friends.
More than anything her family and friends were most important to her. In particular her nieces, nephews and the children of friends that she “adopted” along the way were most precious to her. Although, it’s a toss-up who Linda loved more – her nieces and nephews or the Indianapolis Colts!
She is survived by siblings Libby Dowlin, Debbie Smith, Kathy (Robert) Shaw and Mike (Gina) Dowlin; nieces and nephews, Danielle Smith, Christie Smith, Alex (Amber) Smith, Emily Stockham, Samantha (Aaron) Monroe, Sophia Stockham and Matthew Dowlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard “Red” and JoAnn Dowlin and nephew, Justin Dowlin.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 9 – 11:00 a.m. at Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, 219 S. Fulton St., Wauseon, Ohio. Her Funeral Service will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gene Sugg officiating.
In Linda’s memory Memorial Contributions may be made to Triangular Processing where Linda was a longtime volunteer of the Festival of Trees.
