Marian Frank, age 89, of Stryker passed away early Friday December 14, 2012 at the Community Hospitals of Williams County in Bryan. Prior to her retirement she had worked at the Aro Corporation in Bryan for 38 years.
Mrs. Frank was born on October 13, 1923 in Defiance County the daughter of the late William Bauer and the late Mary (Michael) Bauer. She married Charles H. Frank and he preceded her in death in 1977. She was a member of the Evansport United Methodist Church where she had been active with the United Methodist Women. She had also been active with the YMCA for many years.
Surviving are children; Gale (Nancy) Frank of Stryker, Virgil (Donna) Frank of Stryker Mary Jane Lookup of Bryan, Jill (Bill) Fackler of Pioneer, John Frank of Stryker and Janet (Ron) McGhee of Napoleon. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and siblings; Marvin (Norma) Bauer of Bryan, Yvonne (Floyd) Smith of Utica, MI, Loren Bauer of LaPorte, IN, Phillip Bauer of Bryan, Bill Bauer of Bryan and Burnell (Nancy) Bauer of Bryan. Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband was Son Lester Frank in 1976, one grandchild, Son-in-Law; Bruce Lookup and siblings; George Bauer, Vernon Bauer, Arlene Lloyd and infant sister Naomi.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Monday December 17, 2012 at the Evansport United Methodist Church in Evansport with Pastor Becky Ploughe officiating. Interment will follow in the Stryker Cemetery. Friends may call at the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker from 2:00-6:00pm on Sunday. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Evansport United Methodist Church or the Activities Fund of Bryan Care and Rehabilitation.
