Marilyn L. Westerlund

Marilyn L. Westerlund, 80, of Montpelier passed away Tuesday morning at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.  She was born on September 27, 1935 in Montpelier to Warren H. and Martha L. (Gorman) Summers.  Marilyn graduated from Montpelier High School.

Marilyn was a member of the Montpelier Church of Christ.  She retired in 1997 after 27 years with Robinair as an assembler.  She was a former member of the Montpelier Eagles.  Marilyn loved to play BINGO.

She is survived by three children, Cindy Westerlund of Morrow Bay, California, John Westerlund of Montpelier and Ronda (Gary) Stambaugh of Montpelier; one grandson Chaz Witte; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Joe, Larry, Tom and Sam Summers, four sisters, Betty Payne, Barbara Wolfe, Patricia Summers and Margaret Stuck.


A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 27th at 11am at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier with Chris Kannel to officiate.  In case of rain service will be held at Montpelier Church of Christ. Memorial contributions may be given to CHP-Hospice.  Condolences can be left at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com
