Mary Lee Cummins, 76, of Alvordton, OH went home to be with her heavenly Father on Friday morning, March 9, 2018, from the CHP Inpatient Hospice in Defiance.

Born August 7, 1941, in Canandaigua, MI, she was the daughter of the late Homer Leroy and Aura Edeth (Paulsen) McCarty.

Mary was a graduate of Morenci Area Schools. While she primarily served her family as a loving homemaker, she was also a skilled laborer and worked at various factories, including Globe Wyse.

She currently attended the Olive Branch Christian Union Church.

Mary enjoyed flowers, traveling and baking, especially pies. Active in her family life, she liked to support her nieces and nephews in sporting events and band concerts.

On March 19, 1993, Mary married Marlin G. Cummins at the Clayton Bible Church, and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Marlin, of almost 25 years, Mary is survived by her sisters, Dixie (McCarty) Baldwin of Wauseon and Diane (Marty) Wagner of Morenci; her very close friend, Barbara Jean Baldwin of Morenci; sister-in-law, Shirley McCarty of Adrian; brothers-in-law, Dean Crisler of Adrian and Lowell (Linda) Cummins of Pioneer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dick (Marge) McCarty, Donald (Lori) McCarty, Dale (Pat) McCarty, Dan McCarty, Dwight (Joanie) McCarty, and Dock (Wilma) McCarty; sisters, Betty Crisler, Marjorie (Junior) Smith, and Barbara (John) Lower; nephews, Jeff Smith, Robert Smith, Danny McCarty, and Todd McCarty; and niece, Jenna McCance.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday afternoon, March 11, 2018 from 1-7 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Walter Hicks officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.

Friends can share memories and words of comfort with the family online at www.eaglefuneralhomes.com.
