Michael Tressler (1958-2018)

Michael “Mike” “ Red” A. Tressler 60, of Bryan passed away early Thursday morning, October 18, 2018 at Genesis Healthcare Center in Bryan. He was born on April 7, 1958 in Panama City, Florida to Richard L. and Mary P. (Baker) Tressler, Sr.  He attended Paulding High School and then earned a Journeyman’s card in tool and dye making. On August 26, 1975 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Michael married Amy L. Hood and she survives.

Mike supervised several businesses in Northwest Ohio during his career. He enjoyed collecting vinyl records, golfing, pinball playing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, was a pet lover and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was inspired by Muhammad Ali and what he stood for.

Survivors of Mike in addition to his wife, Amy are his mother, Mary Tressler of Montpelier; two sons: Michael D. Tressler of Lisbon, Ohio and Robert A. Tressler of Hicksville, Ohio, two brothers: Richard (Darlene) Tressler, Jr. of Winter Haven, Florida, Eric Tressler of West Unity, Ohio; one sister: Pat (Don) Pursel of Montpelier; three grandchildren: Dakota, Lexi and Taylor and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister: Denise Mapes.

At this time there are no services planned for Micheal.  Any donations in Mike’s name can be made to the Williams County Humane Society. Condolences may be left at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com
