GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL
Fayette 60, Evergreen 59 – After falling behind 24-14 Evergreen needed to play catch up the rest of the way and came up just short to Fayette. The Eagles (16-1) outrebounded the Vikings 34-21 to hand Evergreen only its second loss of the season. Taylor Griffiths was the diffence maker as she sank nine 3 point shots, including five in the first quarter, for 31 points in the win. Rylee Rogers and Alexis Fruchey added 11 and 10 points respectively in the win. Haili Mossing helped in Evergreen’s comeback as she hit on three shots beyond the arc and finished with 23. Alyssa Noe and Eden Eisel finished with 15 and 12 points. Evergreen stands at 13-2 on the season.

BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL
Wauseon 41, Evergreen 11 (7th grade) – The Indians finished their regular season defeating the Vikings. Wauseon took a 16-3 lead after the 1st quarter and a 29-3 lead at halftime. The Indians forced the Vikings into 25 turnovers, 18 of those turnovers were steals. They outrebounded Evergreen 25-14. Wauseon was led with Ayden Cheney’s 11 points and Connar Penrod’s 10 points.
Wauseon 53, Evergreen 47 (8th Grade) – The Indians fought their way back from an 11-point third quarter deficit to defeat the Vikings. Two Wauseon players had double-doubles during the win. Jared Richer led with 19 points and 11 rebounds while Sean Brock finished with 16 points and 11 boards. Wauseon finishes their regular season winning 14 of their 15 games.
GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL
Fayette 37, Pettisville 17 – A 14-2 third quarter sealed the Blachbird’s in the loss to the Eagles. Mikayla Graber led Pettisville with six points and Fruchey was Fayette’s and the game’s leading scorer with 23 points.
