(September 11th, 2014)-MONTPELIER: The Delta Panthers came into Montpelier to take on the Locomotives on Thursday. While Montpelier gave them a tough time, they couldn’t successfully defend their home court.

Game 1 was a tough, back and forth set. Montpelier couldn’t keep pace with Delta late in the set, however, losing 19-25. The Second set went very much the same, with the Lady Locos dropping the game 18-25. Game 3 was controlled by Montpelier. They won the set 25-14. The girls of Montpelier were unable to force a deciding game 5, as they were defeated in the fourth set 15-25.

Hannah Blake had a productive day for the Locos with 12 digs, 11 assists, and 3 kills. Teammate Sidney Houk was able to top that performance, though, registering 30 digs, 12 assists, and 8 kills. Christy Duchene made 17 assists and 9 digs in the victory.
