MONTPELIER – The Montpelier Locomotives saw the wheels fall off a promising first half against Hicksville on December 3. Down by just a deuce going into the locker room, the hometown boys found that lady momentum had abandoned them at the half and taken a seat on the Aces’ bench. Hicksville ran up a 33-23 second half to secure a 48-36 win going away.
Blaine Thorp was again the high man for Montpelier, putting in 13 points with Parker Houk landing 10. Alex Matzinger threw down 5 points, Cody Caudill and Jake Leung each had 3 points, and Jared Shoup put in 2 points.
