Rachel L Keller WEBRachel L. “Becky” Keller, age 93, of Edon, Ohio, died at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, April 13, 2015, at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center, where she was a patient. Mrs. Keller was a licensed practical nurse and was one of the original nurses employed by Williams County General Hospital in Montpelier, Ohio, when it opened and for many years did private duty nursing in the community. She was also a farm wife for many years and worked along side her husband at Keller TV and Appliance in Edon. She was a member of the Edon United Methodist Church.

Rachel L. “Becky” Keller was born on June 21, 1921, in Darke County, Ohio, the daughter of Walter Earl and Osaa Mae (Hixson) Kinnison. She married Omer G. Keller on November 6, 1937, in Edon, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on June 1, 2012.

Survivors include one daughter, Ruth (Kenny) Lyons, of Edon, ten grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Marilyn “Suz” (LeRoy) Held, of Edon, and Anna Lou Carpenter, of Montpelier; one brother, Marion (Louise) Kinnison, of Big Turkey Lake, Indiana, a daughter-in-law, Joan Keller, of Churubusco, Indiana and a sister-in-law, Barbara Kinnison, Berrien Springs, Michigan. She was also preceded in death by one son, Walter Keller, in 2005, three brothers, John, Jim and Adrian Kinnison; and three sisters, Emmadale Julian, Gracia Allen and Lelamae Newman.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio. Services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in the Edon United Methodist Church with Reverend David Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery.

Memorials are requested to the Edon United Methodist Church or to the Florence Township Fire Department.
