Randy was born on Aug. 11, 1960, in Holland, Michigan, to Marvin and Lynne Rowan.
Randy graduated from West Ottawa High School in 1978 and attended Western Michigan University where he studied music.
Randy was an avid musician with a passion for playing the piano and guitar. He loved blues and jazz music and was almost always humming a tune.
Randy would often compose his own music and wrote a clarinet solo for his daughter after she was born.
Randy also loved to cook and create his own recipes. He started his restaurant career at The House of Flavors, Shaffers and The Ranch House. Randy ran Frankies in Bryan, Ohio, up until his passing.
Randy also had a love for water and enjoyed spending time at Lake Michigan, while visiting his parents and sisters. Randy had a lifelong dream of owning a sailboat and learning to sail after he retired.
Randy is survived by his loving daughters, Rachael (Adam) McGlothlin and Terah (Cory) Koch; his father, Marvin Rowan; his sisters, Jolene (Paul) Harris and Kathleen (Tom) Hoonhorst; and his girlfriend, Peg Baldwin. Randy had six grandchildren (Rowan, Lincoln, Maryam, Anas Aneesa and Muhaymin); five nephews; two great-nephews; and two great-nieces; seven aunts; and several cousins.
Randy is preceded in death by his mother, Lynne Rowan, and his grandparents.
Randy wished for no services and asked for only a celebration of life held at Frankies restaurant in Bryan, Ohio. This will be held on Sunday April 16, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
