BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL
Montpelier 70, Stryker 54 – The Locos used a huge third period to outscore the Panthers in a non-league match up. The 24-10 margin in the third quarter was too much for Stryker to overcome. The Panthers did outscore the Locos 22-15 in the fourth period but it was too little too late. Leading the charge for Montpelier was Michael Blake who connected for 20 points. Kolden Uribes and Evan Friend contributed with 18 and 11 points respectively. The Panthers were led by Hayden Clingaman’s 14 and Chad Ruffer’s 10 points.
Edgerton 51, Pettisville 32 – Alex Michael from Edgerton paced the Bulldogs with 21 points in the non-league victory. The Blackbirds were outscored in the second half 29-19. Gabe Beck led Pettisville with 11 points while Justin Rupp and Caleb Rychener had six apiece.
Edon 79, Evergreen 70 (2OT) – Jim Peckham was the bomber for Edon as he connected for 34 points including six of nine from beyond the arc as the Bombers outlasted Evergreen. Travis Siebenaler and Preston Klingler 18 and 12 points respectively.
Fayette 44, Morenci, MI 31 – Tristan Bates had 13 points to lead Fayette’s seven scorers in the win. The Eagles got eight points from Jerad Seiler as they remain unbeaten and advanced to 11-0 on the season.
Wauseon 42, Defiance 41 – After four quarters and two overtimes the Indians gained the victory by outscoring the Bulldogs 6-5 in the second overtime session for the win. Sophomore Austin Rotroff had four of those points and finished as the games high scorer with 19 points. Brooks Gype and Carter Bzovi scored eight points apiece in the Wauseon’s ninth win of the season.
Hilltop 62, Hicksville 54 – Smith, Brooker and Maneval finished with 17, 16 and 16 points respectively as the Cadets won the non-league game. Maneval connected on three tres as Brooker collected nine rebounds.

Montpelier 35, Stryker 25 – Montpelier was led by Blake Bumb’s 11 points and nine points from Will Sommers. Logan Boetz and Chase Glock had seven apiece for the Panthers.

Stryker 28, Pettisville 24 (7th) – After going scoreless in the third quarter, Stryker put up 12 fourth quarter points to down the Blackbirds. Kaleb Holsopple led the Panthers and all scorers with 15 points while teammate Spencer Clingaman scored 7 points. Brayden Barrett led Pettisville with 10 and Josh Horning added six.
Edon 31, Fayette 22 (7th)- Six Eagles scored during the contest led by eight points by Mike Cummins.
Pettisville 48, Stryker 18 (8th) – The Blackbirds improved to 5-6 with a 30 point win over Stryker. Pettisville was led with Graeme Jacoby’s 24 points. Joel Flory and Issac Reynolds added eight points apiece. Stryker was led by Noah Huffman with eight.
Stryker 28, Pettisville 24 (7th) – Kaleb Holsopple poured in 15 points for the winners as the Panthers moved to 7-3. Pettisville was paced by Barrett’s 10 points and six from Horning.

Bryan finishes fourth at the Antwerp Tournament.
Placing for the Golden Bears were: Isaiah Hale (1st), Trace Stiltner (2nd), Gabe Mendez, Jacob Colbert, and Dylan McCandless (3rd), Spencer Yoder and Jaren Lloyd (4th).

GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL
Pettisville 29, Stryker 12 (8) – After leading 14-5 at the intermission, the Blackbirds came out and scored 14 points in the third quarter to put the game away. Mikayla Graber had nine points to lead Pettisville followed by Sophie Hubby’s eight points. Courtney Stewart led Stryker with seven points.
Stryker 17, Pettisville 15 (7) – Trinitie Woolace hit five 2s and five foul shots to lead the Panthers to the win. It was Stryker’s first win in nine trys.

Stryker 21, North Central 14 (8) – Stryker used 10 points by Courtney Stewart as they defeated the Eagles. Eight of Stewart’s points came at the foul line. Helms led North Central with six.
North Central 20, Stryker 9 (7) – Meyers and Hoolstern each scored six points for the Eagles in their 11 point win. Kinsey Myers led Stryker with three.
Fayette 24, Pettisville 20 (8) – Fayette held on in the second half to win the game. The Blackbirds only scored one basket in the second quarter to lose pace with the Eagles. Pettisville did outscore Fayette in the second half but it was not enough. The Blackbirds were led in scoring by Mikayla Graber’s 12 points.

JUNIOR HIGH BOYS WRESTLING
The Bryan JH wrestlers took 3rd place in Antwerp on Saturday despite being down to only 7 participating wrestlers due to illness and injuries. All 7 wrestlers did outstanding on Saturday and all also made it to the finals! Wrestlers coming in 4th play were Spencer Yoder and Jaren Lloyd. Three wrestlers came in 3rd place: Gabe Mendez, Jacob Colbert, and Dylan McCandless. Trace Stiltner came in 2nd place and Isaiah Hale came in 1st place. The wrestlers will be back in action on Tues. January 12th in Swanton and Sat. January 16th at Archbold.
