Thomas E. Davis, 75, of Alvordton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, at his home. Tom worked at Bard Manufacturing in Bryan, retiring after 24 years of service.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served as a police officer in West Unity and Alvordton. Tom enjoyed fishing, spending summers at Hamilton Lake, Indiana, and was an avid Michigan fan. GO BLUE!!
Thomas Edward Davis was born on Aug. 7, 1944, in Mauch Chunk, Pennsylvania, the son of Arthur Davis and Dean and Bessie (Rontz) Marks. He was married to his wife of 49 years, Sharon L. Parkhurst, on Dec. 1, 1969, in Clayton, Michigan, and she survives.
Tom is also survived by his daughters, Heidi (Matthew) Snyder of Auburn, Indiana, and Hollie (Gary) Carroll of West Unity, Ohio; five grandchildren, AJ Snyder of Fort Myers, Florida, Madison Snyder and Nicholas Snyder, both of Auburn, Indiana, Haylee (Jake) Shirkey of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Marlee Carroll of Lynchburg, Virginia; and two great-grandchildren, Bentley Snyder of Auburn, Indiana, and Hamilton Shirkey of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brothers, Bill (Marty) Davis, George (Susan) Davis, John Davis, Mike (Judy) Davis and Rick (Danielle) Davis. He will be missed by his furry friend, Toby. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Annabelle Marshall.
To honor Tom’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Memorials and condolences can be sent to the family.
