BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL
Fayette 44, Delta 23 – The Panthers only scored two points in the initial quarter and one point in the third quarter as the Eagles gathered up the non-conference win. Joel Smith hit two-3s and led Fayette with 14 points.
GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL
Pettisville 39, Patrick Henry 36 – After being outscored 21-12 in the first half, the Blackbirds heated up and won the second half 27-15 for the win. Morgan Leppelmeier led Pettisville with 22 points including seven 2s and eight makes at the foul line. Pettisville improves to 12-7 for the season.
Edon 61, Fairview 51 – Kaitlyn Sonneberger connected for 25 points including 11-2s and 3 0f 4 at the foul line to guide the Bombers to the win. Edon led 32-17 at the break thanks in large part to Sonneberger’s 13 second-quarter points. Breanna Davis helped the Edon cause as well with 11 points.

Stryker 49, Antwerp 36 – The Panthers had three players in double figures. Haley Doehrmann led the assault with 13 points followed by 10 apiece from Paige Speelmam and Taylor Haines. Stryker used a strong third quarter as they outscored Antwerp 14-7 over the eight minutes to help themselves to the win.

Montpelier 52, Tinora 47 – The Locomotives took a 36-22 lead at the break then held off a second half rally to grab their 11th win of the season. Hannah Blake added to her school record point total connecting for 14 points. Mckenna Quaderer added nine and Maddie Richmond finished with eight.

Wauseon 43, Montpelier 14 (7th grade) – Connar Penrod poured in 25 of the team’s points as the young Indians advanced to the semi-final round in the league tournament. Also contributing with points were Tyson Britsch, Jacob Hageman, Isaac Wilson, Ayden Cheney, Easton Delgado and Hunter Nofziger. The Indians improved their record to 14-2.
BBC TOURNAMENT
Stryker 35, Fayette 23 (7th grade) – The Panthers jumped out to an 18-6 lead after one half and went on to advance to the final round of the BBC tournament. Spencer Clingaman led Stryker with 13 points and Kaleb Holsopple added 12 points. Phillip Whiteside led the Eagles with 11.
REGULAR SEASON
Stryker 33, Tinora 23 – The game was close over the first two quarters with Styrker holding a one-point lead at the half. The Panthers then put the game away with a 13-2 advantage in the third quarter. Noah Huffman and Sean Shindledecker led the Panthers with nine point apiece.
