GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL
Delta 40 Archbold 39 – The Panthers (12-5, 6-1) moved to sole possession of second place in the league standings with their one-point win over the Blue Streaks (16-2, 5-2). Morgan Mattimore led Delta with 14 points including 2 of 3 at the foul line. Jenni Davis added 12 points, and along with sister Jessi Davis, led the Panthers with eight rebounds. Archbold, for the first time all season, had no one in double figures as Andi Peterson led the Streaks with eight points while Cassi Wyse and Kamryn Hostetler added seven apiece.
Evergreen 56, Bryan 54 (OT) – (No game stats received)
Patrick Henry 46, Wauseon 38 – The Indians (4-13, 2-4) fell cold in the second half after scoring 22 point over the first two quarters in their loss to the Patriots (9-8, 5-2). Anna Marshall led Wauseon with 12 points including a perfect six for six at the foul line. Karli Penrod added 10 points for Wauseon. Patrick Henry was led by Jessica Bostelman’s 14 points and Katie Wagner’s 13.
Montpelier 51, Liberty Center 40 – The Locomotives (10-7, 3-4) got 17 points from Hannah Blake and 11 points each from Rebekah Carr and Audrey Pirtle on way to their win over Liberty Center (2-14, 0-7).
Stryker 48, Edon 12 – The Panthers ( 14-4, 6-2) opened up a 23-6 halftime lead as they sailed to and easy BBC win. Three Stryker players ended in double figures led by 13 from Haley Doehrman, 12 from Audra Rupp and Taylor Haines’ 11. The Bombers (1-7, 1-16) had a trio of players, Eliza Zulch, Kiatlyn Sonneberger and Hannah Fogel lead the scoring with three point each.
Pettisville 34, Hilltop 31 – The Blackbird (11-7, 6-2) scored 22 points I the second half to overcome a 16-12 deficit the intermission. The game’s leading scorer was Morgan Leppelmeier who connected for 13 points. Allie Schmitt led the Cadets (7-10, 3-5) with 11 points.
Fayette 61, North Central 14 – The Eagles (17-1, 7-0) continue to soar with the easy BBC win. They jumped out to a 30-8 lead at the break, then cruised the rest of the way for the win. Taylor Griffiths led Fayette with 20 points including nine points from beyond the arc. Alexis Fruchey added 11 and Kaela Seiler had 10 points. North Central (1-17, 0-8) was led by Cady VanDerVoorde and Bonney Madison who had four points apiece.
