The Wauseon Board of Education had a light agenda May 28 at their last noon meeting until fall.
First on the agenda the board accepted donations from the Wauseon Athletic Boosters of $5,000 for a softball scoreboard, $2,047 for miscellaneous football equipment, $3,500 for softball scoreboard installation and $2,950 for Junior High track uniforms.
Next the board approved the FY15-FY19 five-year forecast as required by law (ORC Section 5705.391(b), authorized a then and now certificate to Chief Supermarket of $58 for Food Lab Supplies and approved the 2015-2016 educational agreement between the Wauseon Exempted Village Schools and the Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention Training and Rehabilitation Center at $38.00 per student per week day.
In personnel business, the board:
•Offered a one-year limited certificated teaching contract and to Don Clark as the WHS Band Instructor for the 2015-16 school year and a non-athletic supplement contract for Summer
•Offered a one-year limited certificated teaching contract to Myriah Wooley as a 3rd Grade Teacher for the 2015-16 school year.
•Approved Carrie Dobaczeski as a Substitute Bus Driver for the 2014-15 school year, retroactive to April 2, 2015.
•Approved Courtney Fisher as a Classified Substitute for the 2014-15 school year
•Offered a one-year limited athletic supplemental contract to Joe Torres as the WHS Varsity Assistant Boys Soccer Coach for the 2015-16 school year.
•Approved the following teachers for OGT Summer Intervention instruction: Tom Brady, Katherine Miller, Victoria Hanson, Laura Vorwerk and Kayla Heising
The next board meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 22 at 5:30 PM at the board office.
