The Indians attempted only 3 more shots than the Lady Birds (44 to 41), but Wauseon made 22 (to shoot 50%) while Pettisville put in only 12 (to shoot 29%). Pettisville also committed more than twice as many turnovers as the Indians (15 to 6).
According to Pettisville’s Coach Jason Waldvogel, “Wauseon was the more aggressive team to start the game. We (Pettisville) played tentative until the second half when we felt our backs were against the wall. Annette Stidham was tough for us to handle in the lane.”
She most certainly was. Stidham finished the night with 21 points to lead all scorers. Dana Fricke was the leading scorer for Pettisville with 12.
