2nd Annual Rail Yard Run To Take Place In Montpelier

The second annual Rail Yard Run will take place on Saturday, November 10, 2012 to benefit Cancer Biology Research – University of Toledo Foundation, with the purpose of improving health and wellness among the communities. Race registration will take place from 7:30 am until 8:45 am.

The Kids Race starts bright and early at 8:30 in the morning, while the 5k Race/Walk will begin at 9:00 am. The road/trail starts and finishes in the fairgrounds and is accurately measured. No pets, roller blades or bicycles are welcome on the course during the race. There will be awards for overall top male/female, overall masters (50+) male/female in the 5k race. Age group awards will be given out as well, 3 deep in the 5k race. Age groups include: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 plus. The walk is noncompetitive and all Kids Race participants will receive ribbons. Awards will be given to the top 3 boys and 3 girls for the Kids Race. Post race refreshments will be available for all participants.

Pre-registration forms and fees must be postmarked by Friday, November 2, 2012. Fees payable to: The Cancer Biology Research UT Foundation #30600034. Mail to: Powers and Sons c/o Randy Priest – 1613 Magda Drive – Montpelier, Ohio 43543. To participate on race day, all participants must contribute $12.
