FAYETTE 12/28/2013—The varsity Fayette Lady Eagles had little trouble with the Lady Bulldogs of Morenci, handily defeating them 67-15.

From the get go, there was little doubt that the Eagles would go up 15-4 in the first quarter, and would lead 30-8 by halftime. Fayette completely dominated every aspect of the game. The Eagle’s out rebounded Morenci 33-18, and forced the Bulldogs to turn the ball over a whooping total of 27 times. The Eagle defense only allowed the Bulldogs to convert three field goals through all four quarter of the contest.

The Fayette offense was also on top of its game, scoring at least 15 points in every quarter, and sharing the ball well, racking up 21 assists.

The second half was no different than the first, with the Eagle’s leading 48-13 after three quarter, and outscoring Morenci 19-2 in the final quarter to seal the convincing 67-15 win.

Nine different players scored on the night for Fayette, with Kaela Seiler leading the way with 13 points, Alexis Fruchey and Paige Keefer both had 12 points, Jessie Wheeler contributed seven, Taylor Griffiths and Rylee Ruger had five points a piece,  and Michaela Bates and Katelyn Bates each scored four.

Fayette moves to 7-1 on the season with the win.
