Fayette Local Chosen As State Finalist In National American Miss Junior Pre-Teen Pageant

Lola Lavinder, age 8, daughter of Nick and Whitney Lavinder of Fayette, has been chosen as a State Finalist in the National American Miss Junior Pre-Teen Pageant. This pageant is held for girls ages 7-9 on July 18-19 at the Hiatt Regency Hotel in Colombus, Ohio.

The newly crowned Miss Junior Pre-Teen Ohio will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner, a boquet of roses, and air transportation to compete in the national pageant at Disneyland in California. She has the chance to represent the great state of Ohio for the entire year. She will also tour Hollywood and walk away with a modeling scholarship.

Padeants are held for girls ages four to eighteen, in five different age groups. Contestants will compete in 4 overall vategories, including Formal Wear Modeling, Personal Introduction, Interview and Community Service Project. National American Miss also offers optional contests such as the Top Model Search, Talent, Actress, and so much more!
National American Miss is dedicated to celebrating America’s greatmess and encouraging its future leaders. Each year, the pageant awards thousands in scholarships and prizes to recognize and assist in the development of young ladies nationwide. All activities are age-appropriate and family-oriented.

The National American Miss Pageant System is the largest in the nation. The focus of this organization is to create future leaders and to equip them with real-world skills to make their dreams a reality. The program is based on inner beauty, as well as poise and presentation, and offers an “All-American spirit of fun for family and friends.” Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence and learning new skills, such as good attitudes about competition, as well as setting and achieving personal goals.

Miss Lavinder’s activities include attending Fayette Elementary school, playing softball, singing, and dancing. She will be entering third grade this fall at Wauseon Elementary School. She also enjoys spending weekendsd with her family at the lake, participating in water sports, art, fashion, and designing. Miss Lavinder’s sponsors include Quaint Wedding Stationary, Waack Wallcovering & Painting, 2014 Cornhole Tourney Teams, family, and friends.
