The Village of Montpelier held their council meeting on Monday June 28th at 6pm. The meeting was called to order and a roll call was taken with everyone present.

The council then proceeded with a Prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The council then made motions to approve the agenda for the current meeting as well as the previous meeting that took place on June 14th with both motions passing.

With no members of the public needing to bring up any issues the council then moved to Council and Committee reports. With nothing new to report the only issue brought up was the need to get an updated list of seniority.

The following Resolutions were then passed: Resolution 1320 to Approve Tax Rates and Amounts for the County Auditor; Resolution 1321 Updating Village Officials Compensation; Resolution 1322 Amended Appropriations for the purpose of updating phone systems and repairs to a fire truck; Resolution 1323 Authorize the Disposal of Four light poles to the Montpelier Athletic Boosters.

After passing the resolutions the council then accepted the Juvenile Resource Officer Program Memorandum of Understanding.

The council then approved the Then and Now Certificate for Miller Body Shop in the amount of $16,551.25.

The Village Manager then gave a report. Work is being continued to work on a solution for the Menards sewer with Maumee Valley Planning Organization.

There is a plan to nominate the Wastewater Treatment Plant project to the EPA for forgiveness. Agri-Sludge is currently coming out every 8 months for sludge removal however, the plant is at 100% capacity. It is recommended to change the schedule to every 6 months.

New information from the American Rescue Plan Act is showing the village will receive $411,000 instead of the previous $770,000 it showed before. This is due to changes in the way the funds are distributed and because townships will now also be receiving money.

MARCS radios were supposed to be live on June 23rd. The radios were installed at the Montpelier Police Department on June 24th, but they did not work.

The Williams County Commissioners and dispatch worked on the issue, and it was fixed within 2 hours. The system is still not working 100% but should be fixed by July 11th.

JV2 ran at peak capacity on Monday. All of them were running and the solar field stayed online.

The council then entered an Executive session. After returning the meeting was adjourned.
