Wauseon School Board Accepts Resignation & Approves Several Contracts

The Wauseon School Board held their meeting on Monday July 19th at 5:30pm. The board moved to approve the minutes, bills and financial report as presented before moving to approve personnel items.

The resignation of Kyle Storrer as the Wauseon Middle School 6th Grade ELA Teacher was accepted with it being effective at the end of the 2020-2021 school year.

The following individuals were approved to receive a one-year certified contract. Jordan Wilkinson as the 6th Grade ELA Teacher, Courtney Wilson as a Wauseon Elementary and Middle School Intervention Specialist, Rebekah Cales as a Wauseon Elementary 4th Grade Teacher, Kathryan Thatcher as the Wauseon Middle School 3-hour Cook, Jodi Frank as a Wauseon Primary School Aide.

The board then moved to approve Lucas Schang as a Substitute Bus Driver and Matt Mennetti as a Substitute Van Driver.


The following individuals were approved for a one-year limited supplemental contract, Michelle Eberle as a WPS LPDC Building Rep, Amber Fryzel as a WMS LPDC Building Rep, Jessica Gerig for the WES Student Council, Ami Richer as the WHS LPDC Building Rep, Jill Welch as the WES LPDC Building Rep, Todd Gype as a Junior High Football Coach, and Walter Smith as a Junior High Football Coach.

The following individuals were approved as volunteer coaches, Aaron Harris as a Volunteer Wrestling Coach, Zane Krall as a Volunteer Wrestling Coach, Blake Pitzen as a Volunteer Wrestling Coach, Brendan Wilson as a Volunteer Highschool Football Coach, Kyle Wilson as a Volunteer Assistant Football Coach.

The board then moved to approve student Kaylee Poorman as a Student Pool Worker followed by approval of the 2021-2022 student handbooks and bus routes.


The Board then entered executive session. Upon return it was revealed that no action had been taken and the meeting was adjourned.
