Delta Community Enjoys Dancin’ In The Streets

After a few years off, Delta Dancin’ in the Streets has come back to the community. On Saturday, August 6, beginning at 4:00 p.m. the parking lot at the Delta pool was the spot for a great evening.

Tickets at the door were five dollars, with beer tickets being three dollars each. Michelob Ultra, Budweiser, Yuengling, Bud Light and Bud Light Seltzer Sodas were served under the beer tent for all those in attendance over twenty-one.

Platinum sponsors of the event were North Star BlueScope Steal, Worthington Industries and First Federal Bank in Delta. Other generous sponsors were Archbold Refuse Service, Black Swamp Spoke & Pedal, City Beverage Co., Community Market, Delta Public Library, Farmers and Merchants, K&L Trucking, Northwest State Community College, Pike-Delta-York Schools, Delta Subway, The Open Door, Village of Delta, and Delta Hardware.

Live music was provided by 56Daze and the Forrest Family Band. 56Daze performs all over the Midwest and is known for playing events and weddings. The Forrest Family Band are a well know bluegrass and country group out of Delta.

Queso Kitchen, Da Dip Ice Cream Bars, Dawg House, Loaded Gastro & Co., CK Sweets and CornHub LLC Food Trucks were parked along the sides of the fenced in area and enjoyed by all.

Picnic tables were placed in the middle for those in attendance do they could eat and enjoy the live music. Rows of seating closer to the stage were also available.

The event was a great way to bring the community together on a hot day, and was enjoyed until 11:00 p.m.
