Archbold High School held their Homecoming Ceremony on Friday, September 22nd. The ceremony began around 6:30 p.m. at the Archbold High School football stadium. Members of this year’s Homecoming Court are as follows.
This year’s freshman attendant was Madison Sue Bowers. Madison is the daughter of Adam Bowers and Brittany and Braden Martinez.
She is the older sister of Claire, Delaney, Greyson, and Hudson. Madison is involved in FCCLA, softball, basketball, cross country, and feels honored to represent the freshman class.
Madison’s favorite school memory was being chosen for the OHSAA Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award. Most people don’t know that Madison likes to annoy her mom with her singing. After high school, Madison would like to attend the University of Michigan and join the medical field.
Madison was escorted by Grady Thomas Short. Grady is the son of Tom and Kelly Short and brother of Demi and Navie.
Grady is involved in FCA, golf, basketball, and the piano and attends Xperience Church. Grady’s favorite freshman year memory has been the start of golf season, although it may not beat that one time, he won a game of golf against his dad. Grady plans to play golf at a college. He is very honored to have been chosen by the freshman class as the escort.
This year’s sophomore attendant was Autumn Kaylynn Benecke. Autumn is the daughter of Dan and Gina Benecke. She has 2 younger siblings: Ellison and Kayla.
Autumn is involved in volleyball, FCCLA, her church youth group, dance, and is a historian at Sauder Village. Her favorite school memory was when her 4th grade class started a protest to get their “grass games” back at recess. Most people don’t know that Autumn has appeared on America’s Funniest Home Videos.
After high school, Autumn plans on attending college and would like to work in the medical field. Autumn is honored to represent the sophomore class this year.
Autumn was escorted by Avery Conner Roth. He is the son of Brad and Aimee Roth and has a twin sister named Evy. Avery is involved in cross country, Student Council, FCCLA, and tutors at Archbold Elementary.
His favorite school memory has been the 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C. People may not know that Avery and his twin sister Evy were born 2 months early. Avery currently volunteers at FCHC and after high school he plans to attend medical school to become a surgeon.
This year’s junior attendant is Aniyah Corvette Copeland. Aniyah is the daughter of Ben and Shannon Grime. Aniyah is involved in golf, FCA, FCCLA, and her church youth group.
Her favorite high school memory is the girls golf team winning leagues. Most people don’t know that after being an only child for 15 years, Aniyah now has a 1-year-old foster sister, who will soon be her adopted sister!
After high school Aniyah plans to play golf at a college and study to become a missionary. Aniyah feels honored that her class selected her to be on the court and wants to thank everyone for giving her the chance to represent her class.

Aniyah was escorted by Mason Brian Bickel. He is the son of Joe and Laura Bickel and the brother of Alli and Makenna. Mason is involved in cross country, soccer, basketball, and track.
His favorite school memory is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with Senor Williams. Something people might not know about Mason is that he has been learning how to do a backflip and he ALMOST has it. Mason is so proud that his peers chose him to represent the junior class. After high school Mason plans on attending BGSU to study construction management.
This year’s senior attendant was Gabriella Marie Rodriguez. She is the daughter of Rod and Dawn Rodriguez and older sister of Brooklyn and Collin.
She’s involved in golf, the National Technical Honor Society, Leadership Committee, and SkillsUSA. Gabriella’s favorite memories of AHS have included becoming friends with our foreign exchange students and participating in the student section at sporting events.
Something you may not know about Gabriella is that she is a Cosmetology student at Four County Career Center and loves to travel. After high school Gabriella plans to get a business degree and someday take over her mom’s salon.
Gabriella was escorted by Asa Webster Hudson. He is the son of Nick and Sarra Hudson. He has 9 siblings: Keyndal, Camryn, Rhett, Jude, Hadley, Jovie, Georgia, Nash, and Ross. Asa is very excited to be the senior escort this year.

He is involved in cross country, basketball, and track and his favorite high school memory is being late for class and running through the halls with Charlie to make it on time.
Most people don’t know that Asa’s family breeds dogs and can be followed @Hudsonpups.com. After high school, Asa plans to attend NWSCC to earn a business degree and also a degree in health and fitness.
This year’s Prince and Princess are Henry Oliver King and Millie Margaret Jones. Millie is the daughter of Caleb and Rachel Jones and the younger sister of Annie and Charlie. Millie’s favorite part of school is art and recess.
Millie enjoys playing with Barbies and also teasing her older brother Charlie. Some of her favorite things are the colors pink and purple, cats, and the movie The Greatest Showman.
Henry is the son of Chris and Jenn King and brother of Chloe, Carter, and Jaxson. Henry’s favorite part of school is lunch and recess. He likes to ride 4wheelers, go fishing or hunting, and build with legos. Henry loves camouflage, dogs, eating steak, and playing Dutch Blitz.
After introducing the Homecoming Court, the King and Queen were then announced. This year’s Homecoming King and Queen were Charles Clayton Jones and Chloe Elizabeth King.

Charles is the son of Caleb and Rachel Jones and brother of Annie and Millie. Charlie is honored to have been selected as king at such an amazing school. Charlie is involved with golf and intramural basketball.
Charlie’s favorite high school memory is being a part of a school record breaking team. People might not know that Charlie is a loyal and diehard Chicago Cubs fan. After high school Charlie plans to attend college and would like to continue playing golf.
Chloe is the daughter of Chris and Jenn King and older sister to Carter, Jaxson, and Henry. Chloe is involved in volleyball, FCCLA, and Student Council. Her favorite high school memories involve all the times when her mom got to be her teacher.
People may not know that Chloe loves to downhill ski and snowboard. After high school, Chloe plans on attending college to become a dental hygienist. Chloe feels so honored and excited to be this year’s Homecoming Queen.
