Northwest Ohio Toastmasters Host Tall Tales Speech Contest

Tall Tales Winners WEBThe Northwest Ohio Toastmasters of Archbold, hosted the Simply Speaking Toastmasters of Defiance on April 23 for a Tall Tales speech contest.

Jane Hibbard, associated with both groups, was the Toastmaster. Tying for first place was Jean Jackman from Simply Speaking and Darlene Shepard of NW Ohio. Loretta Torres was in second place from NW Ohio.

Simply Speaking members Tall Tales were Mike Roessner, Unexpected Zoo Animals; and Jean Jackman with Remodeling with Horses.
Tall Tales from NW Ohio members included Karen Lyke, Snake & Cat; Rebecca Lovelass, Haunted Opera House; and Loretta Torres, Holy Holey Wholly House.

On the second and fourth Thursday at 5:30 pm, Simply Speaking Toastmasters meets at the Defiance City Council chambers.

Guests are always welcome to attend Northwest Ohio Toastmasters’ meetings on the first and third Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Allied Health Building Conference Room H104 at Northwest State Community College south of Archbold.
