METAMORA VILLAGE COUNCIL: Council Discusses Numerous Agenda Items

EXECUTIVE SESSION … Council discusses going into an executive session to talk about a new solicitor and zoning.

The Metamora Village Council held their meeting on Monday, October 16th. The meeting began at 8:01 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Council first talked about the renewal of health, dental and vision insurance for employees and motioned to approve.

Next, council motioned to approve several items on the agenda that included: Hiring a Lady from Paulding to help with the new payroll system, surveying of shop building lot line, $2,500 credit line to fix the old ford, increase in work uniform expenses, and $698.28 in sewer credits.


Council then motioned to approve the minutes from October 2nd, the reading of the bills, personnel, and finances.

Council also discussed repairs on the sidewalks on South Main Street, repairs on the pedestrian bridge, and $500 worth of tools that were stolen out of the trailer toolbox.

Then, came the fiscal officer report which talked about a donation that the village was given to help with the Halloween party at the fire department and council motioned to approve extra expenses to spend on the party.


The village is transferring over to a new payroll system, and everything will be completely transferred over by January.

Council then discussed a bill from Buckeye Pumps which was anticipated to be a $1,300 to $1,500 bill and it ended up being $5,000.

Council motioned to move funds and pay the bill with their Professional and Technical Services account.

Next, Council moved to enter executive session at 8:24 p.m. to discuss zoning and the hiring of a new village solicitor, upon their return council moved to adjourn for the evening.
