The Williams County Board of Revision met near 2 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2024, in a conference room near the top of the Williams County Courthouse in Bryan.
Williams County Treasurer Kellie Gray, Commissioner Bartley Westfall, and Auditor Vickie Grimm were all present for the meeting, and first discussed the 2023 real estate value appeals process.
It is the board’s responsibility to assess each complaint on real estate tax evaluations, and to hold hearings regarding them.
Public notice is required for each hearing, and all meetings (aside from executive sessions) will be open to the public.
They are available to the public through the Auditor’s Office on the second floor of the Williams County Courthouse for “the transaction of business.”
After approving their rules for the year, they decided to appoint Kellie Gray as the chair of the Williams County Board of Revision and Bartley Westfall as vice chair, with Vickie Grimm serving as secretary to the board.
They then approved reasons to dismiss complaints, as well as reasons to adjust assessments for calendar year 2022.
With everyone satisfied with the parameters established for the year, a motion was approved to adjourn the meeting at 2:11 p.m.
