Bryan Kiwanis Hears From Williams County Department Of Aging Director

(PRESS RELEASE / THE VILLAGE REPORTER)
SERVING SENIOR CITIZENS … The guest speaker at the January 29, 2025 Bryan Kiwanis Meeting was Sarah Stubblefield, the Executive Director of Williams County Department of Aging. Mrs. Stubblefield spoke to the group about the department and its many services they provide for seniors. There are seven centers throughout the county and some of the services they are offer are: fellowship and good food at the center, games such as bingo and craft activities, speakers and wellness programs to mention a few. The department also has a program of home delivered food to eligible seniors. Transportation for grocery shopping and medical appointments are also available. Special events like Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas gatherings are provided. Loans of assisted medical devices like crutches and wheelchairs are also available. The Department of Aging serves approximately 2,500 seniors in Williams County. Their funding comes from levies and donations from the public.
