The Fulton County Senior Center brought back a beloved tradition this morning with a special Good Friday breakfast, welcoming seniors and their family members to enjoy a relaxed, intergenerational meal.

Held from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m., the breakfast offered a new twist on the center’s usual meal service. Instead of the customary scheduled mealtime, attendees were free to come and go within the open window, creating a more laid-back and family-style atmosphere.

“We’ve always valued making mealtime a meaningful part of the day,” said Senior Center Director Sheri Rychener. “Good Friday has long been a day we offer something special. Since we close at noon, we still want to make sure nobody goes without a meal.”

This year’s breakfast marked a return to tradition, with a few thoughtful adjustments. In previous years, the event had grown so large it outgrew the available space at the time, prompting a temporary pause.

By restructuring the event and offering a more flexible schedule, along with being in the new building, the senior center was able to bring the celebration back.

The meal saw good reviews with the dining area filling up throughout the time period. It was definitely a great way for local seniors to spend Good Friday with their family this year.
