On the evening of June 6th, the Fountain City Amphitheater was alive with energy as Milwaukee’s premier repertory dance company, Water Street Dance, took the stage in a powerful performance.

The event was part of the AMP’s fifth anniversary celebration and drew a large local crowd eager to experience a show by one of the nation’s most dynamic dance groups.

Founded by Morgan A. Williams, Water Street Dance Milwaukee has quickly carved out a name for itself on the national stage.

The multifaceted company is renowned for its commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary art, with performances that explore diversity, movement, and connection through compelling choreography.

Their approach has earned them recognition from Dance Magazine, being named on its coveted “Top 25 to Watch” in 2024.

In the days leading up to the performance, members of Water Street Dance also gave back to the community through a free masterclass offered to curious local dancers.

The session provided a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for area youth to learn directly from touring professionals and was met with wide participation.

Adding to the night’s excitement, local dancers from Art of Movement Dance Studio, Bryan, had the opportunity to open the show.

Their poised and passionate performance set the tone for the following night, while showcasing northwest Ohio’s very own dancing talent.

Represented by G.L. Entertainment, Water Street Dance Company continues to rise as a leading force in the national dance scene. Their visit to Bryan offered a glimpse into the evolving world of contemporary dance.
