The Fulton County Commissioners met for their regular session on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and an opening prayer, followed by roll call.

Minutes from the September 11, 2025, session were approved, and the agenda was adopted as presented.

Commissioners moved quickly through routine matters, approving payment of bills and passing a resolution to establish new lines, increase, and transfer appropriations for various departments.

These changes included $10,000 for repair services, $641 for uniforms, and $15,000 for professional services for the Commissioners’ Office, along with several transfers for Job and Family Services funds and other departmental adjustments.

Two significant contracts were awarded to Allied Waste Systems, Inc., doing business as Republic Services. One contract covers solid waste disposal services, while the other handles the recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal.

Both agreements follow prior bid openings and were approved as the lowest and best bids. Commissioners also signed off on routine purchase orders and travel requests before adjourning.
