The CPC Women’s Health Resource welcomed community members on Saturday, September 27, 2025, for its 39th annual Walkathon and 5K.

Held at the Bryan location on West High Street, the morning event combined fitness, family fun, and fundraising in support of the center’s mission.

The day began with registration at 9:00 a.m., followed by a variety of activities for families, including face painting, pumpkin painting, games, and crafts. A raffle featuring dollar-prize items were also available, including children’s toys, home goods, and paintings.

Alongside the children’s activities, participants enjoyed coffee, concessions, and breakfast offerings while connecting with friends and neighbors. A bounce house helped make the event enjoyable for all ages.

At 10:00 a.m., the walkathon and 5K run commenced, bringing together individuals and families for a morning of exercise and fellowship. Walkers and runners participated to show their support for CPC Women’s Health Resource and its continued efforts to serve parents, children, and families in Northwest Ohio.

Executive Director Mark Pitman states, “This gives us an opportunity to raise some funds thanks to our community, who has been incredibly gratuitous to us this year.”

CPC Women’s Health Resource is a non-profit, faith-based organization that provides support and practical assistance for women during and after pregnancy.

Guided by the ministry of Jesus Christ, its mission is to empower individuals to make life-affirming decisions through education, counseling, and compassionate care.

Organizers emphasized the importance of the event not just as a fundraiser, but also as a chance for the community to gather in unity and purpose.

Every step helps support the organization’s outreach and programs. The CPC Women’s Health Resource crew thanks Dr. David and Amy Winner for their contribution of being the Walkathon Underwriters.

The annual walkathon remains a longstanding tradition, combining seasonal activities, healthy living, and community spirit.
