The Williams County Port Authority met in regular session on Monday, October 27, and discussed updates on current projects and property purchases.
Following the roll call of members, Bill Martin, Dawn Fitzcharles, Dave Newcomer, Rachel Walz, Sean Rupp, Tyson Stuckey, Joe Kimble, and Tyler Sailer, it was noted that Ashley Epling and Cheryl Andres were absent.
The board then approved the minutes from the October 13 meeting and the financial report through September 30.
“We closed a bunch of projects in September,” noted Sailer in regard to the financial report. “We’re still looking good financially, but we have a couple of projects here with Empire Street (Montpelier).
Once it sells, we’re basically down to the selling and being able to close it. We’re also down to the last building of these couple of other projects and then selling and being able to close it. We cleaned up that fixed asset list significantly and just keep it going for the rest of the year.”
Rupp spoke about scheduling a date and time for a walkthrough through a modular home already completed in Pioneer.
“It takes about three to four weeks for Mansion Homes of Edgerton to put it together, and it saves a lot of time doing it,” said Rupp. “It looks like a good option for probably next year.”
The factory-built, modular home is set on a crawl space and features three bedrooms, two baths, and covers 1,080 square feet.
Rupp also updated on building projects currently going on in Edgerton (303-307 Sacher Street), in Bryan (891 East Bryan Street and Beech Street), in Stryker (314 West Curtis Street and Depot Street), in Montpelier (402 Empire Street), and another one in Pioneer.
He added that the Empire Street house is still up for sale. The East Bryan Street house is close to a final closing, and construction is underway on Beech Street.
The board went into an executive session at 1:18 p.m. The Port Authority will next meet on Monday, November 11, at 1:00 p.m.
