SPEAKING TO THE YOUTH — On Wednesday, March 4, Victor and Mary Juarez of Never Let Go Ministries went to Stryker to speak at the Lockport Mennonite Church. Those in attendance were from youth groups from the Lockport Mennonite Church, Central Mennonite Church, and also St. John’s Christian Church. Mary shared her personal story about her son, Marjoe Gineman, and how his decision to drink in his teen years changed his course in life. She spoke about choices in life. Victor shared some stats and showed them a memorial section in the PowerPoint of many local people who lost their lives in an alcohol- or drug-related death. He also talked about their choices in life. Victor and Mary both hope that none of them will ever forget Marjoe’s story when faced with temptations. Door prizes of Never Let Go Ministries t-shirts, teen devotionals, and NLG blankets were given out. NLG is currently preparing for its ninth Luncheon of Hope, which will be held in Edgerton on Saturday, April 25. Details can be found on Facebook.
