PRESS RELEASE – The Fulton County Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC) announces the retirement of Executive Director Jim Wyse, concluding a remarkable career dedicated to serving the residents and businesses of Fulton County.
Wyse has served as executive director of FCEDC over the past year, bringing decades of experience, leadership, and a deep-rooted commitment to the community.
A lifelong resident of Fulton County, Wyse’s career spans nearly five decades of public and private service.
Throughout his professional journey, Wyse has made a lasting impact across multiple sectors.
He owned and operated a successful insurance agency for many years and served more than a decade as mayor of Archbold, where he played a key role in guiding the village’s growth and development.
His career also includes service with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, as well as work in economic development for Archbold.
Prior to joining FCEDC, Wyse served as the director of strategic networks for the Regional Growth Partnership, further strengthening his regional influence and connections.
“Jim’s dedication to Fulton County is unmatched,” said Evan Bon, associate director. “His leadership, institutional knowledge, and passion for this community have left a lasting legacy. We are grateful for his service and wish him the very best in retirement.”
As he steps away from his professional responsibilities, Wyse and his wife, Janet, are looking forward to an exciting new chapter. The couple will soon celebrate both of their retirements and are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their 10th grandchild.
They look forward to spending more time with family, traveling, and enjoying a well-earned retirement.
Despite retiring, Wyse plans to remain an active and engaged member of the community he has served so faithfully.
