EASTER SEASON … During this Lenten season, students at St. Mary School deepened their faith by exploring the seven “I Am” statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John. Through these powerful declarations — such as “I am the bread of life” and “I am the light of the world” — students gained a greater understanding of who Jesus is and what He means in their lives. As a culminating activity, students created “I Am Statement Wheels,” featuring each of the seven statements along with corresponding scripture passages. These interactive projects helped reinforce their learning in a meaningful and creative way. To further celebrate the season and the promise of Easter, students also designed edible resurrection scenes. These served as a visual reminder of Christ’s victory over death and the hope of new life, and they tasted delicious. Through these activities, students expanded their knowledge of scripture and strengthened their connection to the true meaning of Lent and the joy of the Resurrection.
