During last month’s Teacher Work Day, Edon Northwest Local Board of Education honored two longtime employees for their commitment and dedicated service to the district. Deb Gensler, elementary teacher for twenty-seven years (center left) and Judy Flegal, cafeteria staff member for twelve years (center right) retired from full-time work at the end of the 2015-2016 school year. To commemorate the special occasion, each retiree was presented with a unique gift from the Board: Deb, an engraved clock and Judy, an engraved wooden photo album. On hand to help celebrate their successful careers were, from left: Cody Best, Board Member; Jack Gensler; Deb; Judy; Dave Wehrle, Board Member; John Granger, Superintendent.
