ARCHBOLD, OHIO – The Northwest State Community College Foundation recently hosted its annual Green Carpet Event, “Hats Off,” with tremendous success. The event raised approximately $60,000, which will benefit student scholarships. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2016 Making a Difference Awards, which were created by the NSCC Foundation as a way to recognize and celebrate an individual, business and organization in the six-county area committed to improving their communities. This year’s recipients were Rick Small, Dental Excellence of Napoleon and Adriel Foster Care.

“The Green Carpet Event is important for Northwest State and the region, as it not only supports student scholarships, it also celebrates the value of volunteerism to each of our communities,” said Robbin Wilcox, foundation director of development at NSCC. “82% of our graduates continue to live and work in our local communities. These scholarships provide more than just a great education, they help develop the future of our communities.”

A special one-hour recap program of the NSCC Green Carpet Event will be available on TV26, and is also available on the Northwest State YouTube channel (youtube.com/user/NorthwestStateCC).
